This year the Insight for MAnaging Growth for Endocrine nurses (IMAGE) conference was held on 10-11th October 2019 at the Radison Blu Hotel, Bordeaux, France,
The aims of the symposium were to provide quality education, based on practical clinical experience, on all aspects of the nurse’s role related to the management of disorders of appetite (eg Prader-Willi syndrome, simple obesity), late endocrine effects of childhood cancer treatment, family interaction related to chronic disease, clinical and diagnostic reasoning related to growth and puberty cases.
This continuing education activity has been approved by the International Council of Nurses (ICN) for the award of 8.5 International Continuing Nursing Education Credits (ICNECs).

At the end of the meeting, delegates will understand:
- The physiology, endocrinology and clinical features of disorders of paediatric appetite control
- The role and experience of the paediatric endocrinology nurse specialist in the diagnosis and management of late endocrine effects of cancer therapy
- The developing roles and responsibilities of paediatric endocrinology nurses working in different cultures and countries
- Optimal family interaction related to the child with chronic illness
- Clinical and diagnostic reasoning related to clinical cases of abnormal growth and puberty
